Why Oatmeal is Good For You: It’s Easy to Cook, Healthy, and Cheap

Ever wonder why oatmeal is good for you? It’s not exactly a scientific secret – this is a real breakfast super food. Have you tried oatmeal in the morning yet?

Why oatmeal is good for you: it's simple to make

The classic breakfast: oatmeal with blueberries

Oats are done in just five minutes. Heat water to a boil, put them in. Or microwave them.

Add nuts or berries.

Enjoy.

Oatmeal is a great source of fiber and complex carbs. It is also low in calories.

I eat oats almost every day (My favorite: Bob’s Red Mill Steel-cut Oats).

Why oatmeal is good for you: it's healthy

Steel-cut oatmeal is the healthiest kind

Try it out. And if you ever get bored, here are a couple of alternatives:

  • Fresh fruit salad. Get your favorite fruits and cut them up. Mix together. Nothing extra. Eat by the spoon.
  • Scrambled eggs, made with a dash of olive oil. Add sliced tomatoes, ham, and greens. Pepper on top. Perfect.

Save the fancy meals for later. Breakfast is all about getting your body jumpstarted as soon as you wake up.

Less sugar, more oats

  1. Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this blog. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s hard to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability and appearance. I must say that you’ve done a great job with this. Additionally, the blog loads very fast for me on Chrome. Outstanding Blog!
